2005 – Present  IM System Architect / Tools & Database Support Team Lead,  Xerox Corp.

  • Leading implemention of IBM Rational Multisite ClearCase / ClearQuest applications for the Xerox Office Group Division. Integrated applications serve as a global web-based system used for both Xerox multi-function device code development as well as problem escalation and handling. Toolset used by development teams and support groups at multiple sites in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
  • Coordinating effort to consolidate the XOG division’s disparate PM and call escalation systems used and accessed by both internal as well as external 3rd-party partners. Includes directing group of local developers responsible for building set of generic tools / processes / interfaces to be used by all groups in the division.
  • Leading team of SCM personel responsible for daily and weekly release builds using CVS and ClearCase CM tools for all XOG mid-volume products.

2001 – 2005  Database Admin / Application Development,  Xerox Corp.

  • Led project to migrate the Xerox Office Group division’s customer problem management database and tracking system from legacy client-based application to IBM Rational ClearQuest web-based system with Oracle backend. System used by Xerox support centers and development teams worldwide.
  • Complete project control included gathering and refining user requirements, project planning, facilitation of weekly review and status meetings.
  • Handled all database design, script and code development.
  • Created and maintained all system and user documentation.
  • Developed and maintained two and three tier web-database applications used by an array of different internal groups for problem management, data collection, reporting and information storage.
  • Designed and built dynamic applications using both client and server side code, for use accessing MS Access, MS SQLServer and Oracle databases.
  • Data tables, charts and reports written in custom code as well as using Crystal Reports.

1991 – 2001  Mechanical Engineer / Systems Engineer,  Xerox Corp.

  • New Product development engineer working on digital networked mid-volume copier/printer/fax machines.
  • Responsibilities included technology development, selection, verification and integration.
  • Work included both major mechanical as well as electrical subassemblies and required use of a wide range of analytical, measurement and software tools and extensive technical analysis and problem solving.
  • Acted as a feature team leader responsible for leadership and supervision of multi-functional teams consisting of mechanical, electrical and software engineers, technicians and key-operators, as well as outside vendors and support groups.
  • Designed, developed and implemented the “Tandem-Teer” optical registration system across the DC490/480/470 and WCP90/75 family of products.
  • Recipient of seven (7) IP’s.

1988 – 1991  Mechanical Coop Engineer,  Bausch & Lomb

  • Wide range of engineering responsibilities with the Ray-Ban eyewear division including assignments in new product development, quality assurance and manufacturing.

1985 – 1987  Construction Inspector,  NYS Dept of Transportation

  • Verification and inspection of all stages of both new road construction and existing road renovation. Responsible for ensuring that all sub-contractors met NY State specifications.
